Presentation to Shuming Zhao
致赵曙明教授
In addition to being privileged to co-sponsor the Eight International Symposium on Multinational Business Management, we are very pleased to recognize one of our colleagues, Dr. Shuming Zhao.
首先，我们非常荣幸地应邀协办“第八届企业跨国经营国际研讨会”，同时，我们也非常高兴地在此介绍我们的同事赵曙明博士。
Dr. Zhao is the conference chairperson and Honorary Dean of the School of Business at Nanjing University. He is well known to all of us attending today. Dr. Zhao is the preeminent Chinese authority in the field of human resource management and has published more than ten books and over 300 academic papers and scholarly articles. He has received many honors and recognitions in both China and internationally for his contributions as a scholar.
担任本次大会主席的赵曙明博士是金沙威尼斯欢乐人城名誉院长，今天参加会议的代表对他都非常熟悉。赵曙明博士是人力资源管理领域一位杰出的中国专家，出版了十几部著作并发表了三百多篇学术论文。做为一名学者，他的贡献获得了国内外诸多荣誉和认可。
He has also served with distinction as a visiting professor the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He first taught at our university in 1995, then in 2003, and has taught annually since 2006. His course, International Human Resource Management, is an integral part of our curriculum and is oversubscribed every time it is offered. He offers the course using both online and face-to-face instruction and attracts students from many countries each time it is offered.
长期以来，他还一直担任着我们密苏里大学圣路易斯分校的访问教授。他初次到我们大学授课是在1995年，然后是在2003年，自2006年以来每年来我校授课。他所讲授的《国际人力资源管理》是我们课程表中的一门重要课程，每次开课都受到学生的热烈欢迎。他采用在线指导和面对面的授课方式，吸引了许多国家的学生。
With this record of teaching and research as a foundation, the University of Missouri –St. Louis has promoted Dr. Zhao to the rank of Distinguished Professor, the rank he will now hold during his annual pilgrimages to St. Louis. It is our pleasure to take note of this title change by presenting Dr. Zhao with a plaque that commemorates this milestone.
鉴于他的教学和科研成就，密苏里大学圣路易斯分校决定授予赵曙明博士“杰出教授”称号，他每年去圣路易讲学都将享有这一称号。在此，我们非常高兴地赠与赵曙明博士镌刻着他名字的这块奖牌，以祝贺这一光荣称号。
